Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Papers must be original research and have not been previously submitted/published in any journal. It will be checked for plagiarism by using plagiarism checking (Turnitin / Viper / PlagiarismCheckerX).

Before submitting the paper, the author is required to be registered as an author. The paper should be submitted as Microsoft Word files (doc or docx) and written following the template of JuTMI with around 8 to 12 pages (A4 size).

All submissions should include, in the following order: (1) Title Page, (2) Abstract and Keyword, (3) Introduction, (4) Method, (5) Results and Discussion, (6) Conclusion, (7) Thank-you Note and (8) References. For a manuscript that contains tables and images, make sure its quality and size are good enough to produce good print quality.

  • The title page should include: Title, Author’s Name, Institution, Corresponding author.
  • The title of the article is written using 14pt Bold Times New Roman  font and it should be no more than 12 words in english and 14 word in Indonesian using capital letters at the beginning of each word (except conjunctions).
  • The title should reflect the contents of the manuscript. It is recommended to use abbreviations and formulas that are not widely known.
  • All of the author’s names are written under article title using 11pt Times New Roman font and given a superscript letter to identify the author's address and order.
  • The author’s institution is written under all author’s names complete with postal address. It includes e-mail and telephone number start with superscript letters corresponding to each author's name.
  • Abstract and Keywords
  • Abstract is typed using Times New Roman font size 10 pt, consists of 1 paragraph, contains problems, outlines the contents of the article and conclusions.
  • Abstract length is between 125-200 words, while keywords consist of 3 words. Keywords can be single words or combinations of words.
  • Abstract consists of objectives, methods and summary of results
  • Introduction
  • The introduction should contain background, the problem, and the proposed solution. It is also recommended to describe state of art indicates previous works done.
  • The bibliographic quotes must utilize square bracket enclose the number such as [1], [2] and so on (use Mendeley or Endnote on IEEE format for making it easier).
  • The words in a foreign language are written italic.
  • results of studies in fields related to mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, science, and technology.
  • The text uses Times New Roman with a size of 11 pt, 1.15 spacing, regular and in a two-column format, the distance between columns is 1 cm. The first sentence of each paragraph is written indented within 1 cm.
  • Research Method
  • The method includes a detailed description of the methods, instruments, and research analysis techniques used in solving problems.
  • Illustrations can be in the form of pictures, graphs, diagrams, maps, and photos. The illustrations numbered sequentially and the title is at the bottom center using the Times New Roman font type, size 10 pt, and 1 space.
  • Every table and figure should include a caption with an associated number.
  • Results and Discussion
  • The results and discussion are the objectivity of research results related to the research objectives and discussion.
  • Results and discussion present the research finding and analysis. It can be described with tables, descriptions, graphics, and images.
  • The results of the discussion must explain the answers to the hypotheses and problems presented in the introduction. The discussion also needs to be supported by previous literature and research.
  • Conclusion
  • This section contains summaries of the main topics covered or a re-statement of the research problem and recommends new areas for future work.
  • The conclusion is a summary of the results and discussion.
  • The Conclusions are presented in the form of paragraphs.
  • Thank-you Note
  • Contains thanks to partners, friends, teams who have helped in the process of writing this manuscript.
  • Reference
  • All references should be referred to in the paper. Literacy list writing should use references tools Mendeley or Endnote. At least 80% of references are journals and 80% of them are published in the last 5 years.
